Dr. Shakuntala Gawde presented on ‘Model of Good Research’ in Two Days National Symposium on Tradition for Innovation towards better future’ organized by Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University and Research for Resurgence Foundation, Nagpur on 22nd and 23rd June 2018. 120 researchers across the country participated in this symposium.
Dr. Shakuntala Gawde presented criterion of good research. Her focus was on research methodology used in Sanskrit and Indological studies. She claimed that ancient shastrakaras are researchers and research methodology can be observed through their styles of writings. She presented ancient research models for understanding different devices of research methodology which are still relevant in modern day research. She presented some principles of research methodology from the writings of Yaskacharya, Shankaracharya, Ramanujacharya etc. She discussed about new avenues of research in Sanskrit and related subjects.
She was felicitated by Honourable Vice Chancellor Prof. Srinivas Varkhedi and Dr. Madhusudan Penna.
