Dr. Shakuntala Gawde was invited to preside over the seminar on “Sanskrit-bhashayah-mahattvam ” organised by Maharashtra Rajya Sanskrit Sahitya Akademi in collaboration with Arya Samaj, Borivali. She also felicitated students receiving prizes for the shloka recitation competition. She spoke on the importance of the Sanskrit language in this modern era with reference to ancient texts. She said that the new generation should study Sanskrit in interdisicplinary manner, as we have texts on sciences like polity, biology, agriculture, botany, physics, chemistry, astronomy, etc. in the Sanskrit language. Sanskrit is not only the language of religion but the source of different knowledge streams.
