Dr. Shakuntala Gawde engaged a guest lecture on the topic ‘Eschatology’ in Department of Philosophy, University of Mumbai on 19th July 2019. Nearly 200 students attended the lecture. Beginning with the definition of eschatology, She explained the Early Vedic ideas about eschatology. She focussed on Upanisahdic ideas about soul, paths of the dead, transmigration and rebirth. She concluded her lecture with comparison of Upanishadic and Greek Eschatology.
